Overview:
The Data Analyst plays a key role in turning data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role is responsible for querying, analyzing, and visualizing data to create meaningful dashboards and KPIs that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical foundation, is comfortable working with data visualization tools, and understands basic financial concepts to effectively interpret and communicate performance trends. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst supports data-driven decision making across the agency by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key operational, clinical, and financial metrics
This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of data used for regulatory reporting, quality improvement, and strategic planning
Identify data quality issues and collaborate with IT and program staff to resolve discrepancies or gaps
Support agency initiatives related to performance measurement, quality improvement, and outcomes evaluation
Provide data insights to inform decision-making, program design, and resource allocation
Collaborate with leadership to define key performance indicators and ensure data is aligned with agency goals and strategic priorities
Train staff on interpreting and using data effectively for program management and improvement
Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and performance report
Data Design & Development
Design, develop, and maintain data solutions across analytics, reporting, and data warehousing environments
Perform hands-on development using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and SAS
Build and support data models, pipelines, and integration processes
Data Transformation & Quality
Execute data migration, integration, and enrichment across complex datasets
Perform data profiling, validation, and testing to ensure data integrity
Support source-to-target mapping and reconciliation activities
Analytics & Reporting
Deliver analytical outputs and reporting to support business and regulatory needs
Develop dashboards and visualizations (Tableau and other tools)
Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
Collaboration & Delivery
Partner with business, engineering, and program teams to meet delivery milestones
Clearly document designs, logic, and testing outcomes
Contribute to improving data standards, controls, and processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Management or related fields
1-3 years of experience in data reporting and analysis, preferably in healthcare is required
Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in database warehousing tools such as Snowflake, Databricks etc.
Basic understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey findings to non-technical audiences
