Data Analyst Brooksource Remote We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong SQL development experience who can bridge the gap between reporting, analytics, and backend data preparation. This individual will help support the transition from ServiceNow (SNOW) data sources to a new custom-built tool leveraging Databricks, SQL, and Azure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building tables and views, working with developers to connect data sources, and delivering insights through PowerBI dashboards and Excel reporting. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to an end-of-year delivery timeline. Key Skillsets • SQL Expertise: Advanced ability to build tables, queries, and views. • Databricks: Hands-on experience creating tables, views, and managing data pipelines. • PowerBI & Excel: Proficient in dashboard and report development, including quick Excel-based reporting. • Azure Cloud: Experience working within Azure-based environments. • ServiceNow (SNOW): Familiarity with SNOW data sources. • Programming Familiarity: No coding required, but beneficial to understand programming (Java, ReactJS, or Spring Boot, etc.) concepts when collaborating with developers to connect data sources. • Data Integration: Ability to connect datasets across legacy and modernized tools. • Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work across data, development, and business teams. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Build SQL tables and views in Databricks to support analytics and reporting. • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards pulling data from both legacy (ServiceNow) and new custom tools. • Create quick, ad-hoc Excel reports and dashboards for immediate business needs. • Partner with developers to align data source connectivity and ensure smooth integration between platforms. • Support the migration of SNOW data into Databricks and Azure-based environments. • Validate and test data pipelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data for reporting. • Act as a liaison between analytics and development teams to ensure data is accessible and structured properly. • Provide insights and recommendations on process improvements during the migration. • Deliver quickly in an agile, fast-moving environment with an end-of-year completion target.
