ABOUT THE ROLE:
β’ Our Fortune 500 Media client is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Film and Operations team.
β’ This position will play a critical role in supporting the organization's operational objectives by extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to inform key business decisions.
β’ As a Data Analyst, you will engage closely with other Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and
β’ Operational Leads to provide insights on KPIs and metrics from ongoing projects. Outputs from your analysis will contribute to high-level decision-making, with a focus on operational efficiency and workflow improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Write SQL queries to extract data from databases using tools like DBeaver.
β’ Analyze and manipulate data in Excel, leveraging advanced functions like pivot tables and macros.
β’ Create data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft Fabric to illustrate workflows and KPI metrics.
β’ Modify and expand existing Tableau dashboards and reports as needed.
β’ Present findings and insights clearly to team members, ensuring accessibility for operational stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and address project risks and concerns.
β’ Report to and support senior leaders with data-driven insights.
REQUIREMENTS:
β’ Proficiency in SQL and database management tools like DBeaver.
β’ Expertise in Excel, including advanced functions such as macros and VLOOKUP.
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric).
β’ Proven ability to extract and present data for operational reporting and KPIs.
β’ Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
β’ At least 1 year of relevant professional experience (portfolio or examples of previous work requested).
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.
β’ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
β’ Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
