Role description
Position: Data Analyst Duration: until of the year due to fiscal planning but anticipate this being an ongoing project for at least 9 months Location: hybrid onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in San Jose Interview: 2 rounds (first round SQL assessment, second round is technical scenario-based questions) Required Qualifications - Proven experience in data analysis, business systems analysis, or a hybrid role. - Expertise in behavioral analytics, A/B testing, and experimentation methodologies. - Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with BigQuery in a GCP environment. - Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or payments industry. - Knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis. - Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards. Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Systems Analyst/Data Analyst to join our team immediately. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in behavioral data analysis, A/B testing, and experimentation, particularly within a GCP/BigQuery (BQ) environment. Prior experience working with PayPal FPTI data is a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities - Design and execute A/B tests and experimentation frameworks to evaluate product features and user behavior. - Analyze behavioral data to uncover actionable insights that drive business and product decisions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting needs. - Work within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, leveraging Big Query for large-scale data analysis. - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL and BI tools to monitor performance and experimentation outcomes. - Interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems and processes. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
