Project Overview:
β’ This Data Analyst will support and assist a team of analysts in performing analytics in the in the Market Forecasting Services (MFS) Group at the Client.
β’ This position supports the teams efforts in refining requirements and collaborating with client's staff to develop Tableau and Power BI dashboards and recurring plug and play reports.
β’ The supporting data models would be pulling data from various sources and types; such as Legacy Excel models/data sets, SharePoint Lists, SQL Server databases, etc.
Responsibilities:
β’ Able to expertly assist in providing direction and/or developing Power BI and/or Tableau dashboards and foundational data model and transformations in collaboration with the MFS team.
β’ Converting Legacy Excel models into Tableau and/or Power BI models.
β’ Provide subject matter expertise and assistance in developing Power BI/Tableau visualization solutions based on requirements provided by MFS team.
β’ Assess requirements and analyses and make recommendations
β’ Incorporate the use of M365 and Microsoft Power Platform components
β’ Connect to multiple source data systems on varied platforms Creating databases of legacy information and establishing links to Tableau/Power BI to create custom dashboards
β’ Provide the team with advanced analytics by defining and refining slicers, filters, and Legends across Dashboard reports
Required Qualifications:
β’ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in Team environment.
β’ Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform - MS PowerApps, Excel, Access and specifically, visualization software Power BI
β’ General understanding of building SQL Databases
β’ Keen understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods.
β’ Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources
