Role description
Data Analyst (Remote) Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a remote Data Analyst. Only candidates that reside in OR, WA, ID or MT will be considered for the position. This position is located in the Data Integration and Reporting organization within the IT department. This position will draft Extract, Transformation and Loading (ETL) procedures for implementing data integration and data migration tasks in support of Data Warehousing and other data integration projects. This position will also support operations and maintenance, as well as provide 24x7 production support on a rotational basis. Key Responsibilities for Data Analyst: β€’ Draft Extract, Transformation and Loading (ETL) procedures for implementing data integration and data migration tasks in support of Data Warehousing and other data integration projects. β€’ Draft ETL procedures, batch processes, and scheduling; troubleshoot problems and make suggestions for performance tuning and system integrity. β€’ Develop mappings and workflows in Informatica to automate data integration. β€’ Develop data models and database design techniques, including relational and dimensional modeling. β€’ Effectively map source to target data to meet business/system requirements. β€’ Implement management approved SQL stored procedures and advanced SQL queries. β€’ Assist with the development of functional and technical requirements documents for diverse audience (technical and non-technical), including migration, implementation and test plans. β€’ Draft working documents for interfaces with non-Standard systems. β€’ Debug, analyze and troubleshoot data quality issues. Requirements/Qualifications for Data Analyst: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in information/computer technology or a closely-related field is preferred. β€’ 5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor’s degree. β€’ 9 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree. β€’ Experience should be technical in nature and reflect the duties consistent with the role. β€’ 5 years of experience in Data Integration Techniques. β€’ Oracle 11g, 12g, 18c or 19c. β€’ Writing DDL and creating database objects. β€’ Partitioning database tables. β€’ Creating Oracle procedures, functions and views. β€’ ETL tool such as Informatica Suite (including Power Center and Power Exchange) or an equivalent tool. β€’ β€’ We are unable to accommodate corp. to corp. candidates β€’ β€’ About Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc: Founded in 2006, Motus is an award-winning recruiting and staffing firm in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in professional services and technology solutions.
