Title: Data Analyst - Retail Energy experience is MUST Terms of Employment W2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension / Possible Conversion) Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in downtown Houston on Wednesdays. The remainder of the week can be worked remotely. Overview Work with a leading energy firm in a dynamic Business Operations Analyst role. You will be a key member of the back-office operations team, providing essential support for government aggregation programs that serve thousands of customers. This role is perfect for a data-savvy professional who excels at managing large datasets and wants to make a tangible impact on business success. You will work with critical data tools daily to handle customer enrollments, billing processes, and operational reporting. You will Analyze and manipulate large datasets in Microsoft Excel, utilizing functions like VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP to ensure data integrity for programs with up to 40,000 participants. Support the complete lifecycle of customer accounts, including processing mailing lists, managing enrollments, and handling billing functions. Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, investigating and resolving inquiries from Sales and Care departments that are logged as cases in Salesforce. Perform analysis and use Power BI to monitor and report on operational activities. Run and utilize SQL queries to extract and analyze data for reporting and issue resolution. Required Qualifications At least one year of professional experience in an analytical or data-focused role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated experience working with large datasets (2,000+ rows) and complex functions including VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs. Experience using (not developing) SQL to run queries for data analysis. Experience in the retail electric energy industry. Ability to work a hybrid schedule with one required day in the Houston, TX office. Preferred Qualifications Experience with daily use of Power BI for reporting. Familiarity with EDI transactions. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required for candidates with direct retail energy experience.
