Role description
DATA ANALYST - INSIDE IR35 - UP TO END OF NOV 2025 One of Loriens Edinburgh based Public Sector Clients are looking to hire a highly skilled Data Analyst with PortF experience, on a contract basis running up to November 2025. β€’ Inputting information (financial models, budgets, management accounts) onto PortF. Keeping track of outstanding information on PortF and flagging / chasing Portfolio Management Lead for outstanding data on a monthly basis. β€’ Helping / supporting with ongoing PortF improvement project. β€’ Helping to track companies against relevant financial forecasts. Flagging when companies are off track and helping Portfolio Management Lead in performing deep dives to ascertain why companies are off track. β€’ Helping with ongoing exit analysis for companies in the portfolio (including exit valuation analysis). β€’ General admin support to ensure Salesforce and SharePoint are all up to date as well as helping to update KYC checks. Background/Experience β€’ Experience in financial analysis or portfolio management, including familiarity with financial modelling, budgeting, and interpreting management accounts. β€’ Proficiency with data entry and management systems, particularly financial platforms like PortF (or similar portfolio management tools), Salesforce, and SharePoint would be beneficial. β€’ Attention to detail and organisational skills, enabling effective tracking of outstanding data, documentation, and follow-ups with internal stakeholders. β€’ Understanding of key financial indicators and forecasting, with the ability to support performance monitoring and highlight variances or risks in company performance. β€’ Exposure to investment or corporate finance processes, particularly experience supporting exit analysis or valuation assessments. β€’ Project support experience, ideally within a financial or systems improvement context, showing ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. β€’ Working knowledge of compliance requirements, including supporting Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and maintaining up-to-date records.
