Role description
Full-time, exempt position within the IT Department responsible for supporting data reporting requirements for agency grants and contracts The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting data for internal and external stakeholders, grant activities, and program evaluation. The role includes developing and supporting forms, reports, and processes using Microsoft SQL Server, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Microsoft Excel, and other tools. The Data Analyst works closely with the CIO and other departments to develop data-driven solutions, modernize legacy processes, and ensure timely and accurate data submissions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, meets critical deadlines, and has excellent communication and people skills. SCOPE OF PRACTICE: Collect, enter, store, and manage project and grant data in a timely and efficient manner Review and verify data entry and integrity Create reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, or similar software Liaison with Federal, state, Managing Entities, county, and community partners for data and grant activities Provide education and training to internal and external staff regarding grant eligibility and state reporting Collaborate on inter-departmental workflows and program meetings Contribute to reporting efforts and dissemination of data for project findings and progress reports Modernize legacy processes into current, user-friendly solutions Provide support for grant operations, staffing, monitoring staff development, and clinical audits Collect, enter, store, and manage project and grant data in a timely and efficient manner Review and verify data entry and integrity Aware of privacy restrictions and safeguards for data All other related job duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of computer hardware and software utilized by the agency, including SQL, Crystal Reports, SSRS, MS Office applications, and database software Familiarity with Python or R as well as Powershell or Bash a plus Familiarity with Windows desktop and Server, operating systems Knowledge of FASAMS state reporting functions a plus Ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot reports Ability to solve computer and data problems with available tools and skills Ability to communicate effectively with technical support engineers and end-users Ability to identify logical steps in dependent fashion and accomplish these steps to deliver solution Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make data-driven decisions Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and funders Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines Ability to communicate in English with speaking, hearing, and writing skills ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Commitment to workplace of dignity and respect Compliance with all Equal Employment Opportunity rules and guidelines Ability to work with others cooperatively and cordially in a spirit of teamwork Ability to appear at work as scheduled, mindful of the company’s attendance policies Ability to accept direction from managers and supervisors in a respectful and collaborative manner EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and one year of applicable experience. Associate degree with three years’ applicable experience, A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Current CPR and First Aid Certification or certifications must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS: Able to sit and perform computer and keyboard tasks for extended periods Able to differentiate between colors for screen definition Able to lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds Ability to use standard office equipment and multiple monitors Ability to bend, stoop, and reach Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Office/Home Office environment Position may involve work at various program service sites Noise in this environment is usually moderate WORKPLACE STANDARDS: Adheres to company time and attendance standards, with understanding of the needs of a 24-hour residential program if applicable.
