Role description
Position: Data Analyst Location: East Cleveland, OH - on-site 4x's/week Duration: 6-month contract + potential extension Pay Rate: $20-25/hr based on experience Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Statistics, or related field or equivalate experience • 2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst in a regulated manufacturing environment; DoD, aerospace, or defense preferred • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and DFARS requirements • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) • Experience with ERP/MRP and QMS platforms used in defense manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex, TIPQA) • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills • Ability to compile and present technical data in clear, concise formats for internal teams and government agencies Job Description: The Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting compliance, quality, and operational performance for products supplied to the U.S. Department of Defense. This role focuses on analyzing production, quality, and supply chain data to support AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and contract compliance while driving continuous improvement and cost-efficiency in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze data across production, quality, supplier performance, and delivery to ensure compliance with DoD contract requirements • Create and maintain reports on KPIs such as first-pass yield, scrap/rework rates, on-time delivery, cost of poor quality (COPQ), and corrective/preventive action trends • Support audit readiness by ensuring data traceability, retention, and structured reporting aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR standards • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to identify root causes of nonconformances and track effectiveness of corrective actions • Develop dashboards and visual tools for reporting to internal leadership and external government customers • Analyze supplier performance data to drive improvements and reduce risk in the defense supply chain • Assist with cost analysis, quoting, and program performance reporting (e.g., EVMS or similar formats)
