Role description
We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join our client's Marketing Data team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a billion-dollar company, a household name in the entertainment industry with millions of users globally, where your work will directly impact how millions of viewers experience content every day.
In this role, you will help deliver critical marketing data capabilities, manage audience segmentation, and support scalable operational solutions. You’ll work closely with marketing, data, and cross-functional teams to optimize processes, implement data-driven initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.
This is a 1 year contract to start, remote in the United States ( East Coast preferred - must work EST hours)
Key Responsibilities:
• Support delivery of marketing data capabilities, including audience segmentation and management.
• Collaborate with marketing teams, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders on marketing data operations.
• Document technical requirements, data attributes, and schemas to deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop and enforce business rules, processes, naming conventions, and procedures.
• Assist with testing efforts, including user acceptance, performance, and integration testing.
• Track work streams, dependencies, and progress, escalating issues as needed.
• Support team initiatives, sprint rituals, and documentation of processes.
• Prepare reports, status updates, and other internal documentation.
Required Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing operations, data analytics, or related fields.
• Experience in subscription-based services a must
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (experience with R is a plus).
• Experience with data platforms such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Strong project planning and management skills, preferably in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
• Background in data engineering, data analytics, or audience data integrations.
• Understanding of experimental design and testing best practices.
• Ability to work early EST hours to overlap with teams overseas.
