Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Oversees full range of efficient and effective Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and software services for current and future systems. Coordinates, plans, problem-solves, and implements integration of logistics and new technologies to support COBRA Mission Partner (MP) requirements, data analytics, and software requirements. Automates repetitive tasks, integrates algorithms to support data sets, and enables AI models integration IAW DoDI 5000.88. Provides analysis for space-based capability analysis, fleet tactical warfighting, future force concepts, systems modeling, and intelligence data. Collaborates with Key Personnel (KP) and stakeholders to oversee and coordinate complex technical projects across multiple teams. Identifies potential risks to reduce time to transition software and ensure the development of software solutions for MPs by applying proven methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
β’ 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
β’ Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
β’ Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
β’ Effective oral and written communication abilities
Preferred Requirements
β’ Experience working in defense or intelligence environments
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
β’ Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Security+, PMP)
