Job Summary:
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Data Scientist to contribute to intelligence innovation in partnership with the Defense Intelligence Agency. The role involves delivering advanced AI, Machine Learning, and analytics capabilities to enhance intelligence operations and support rapid decision-making across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end data science activities, encompassing data engineering, mining, exploratory, predictive, and statistical analysis.
• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality AI/ML solutions, such as recommendation engines and automated prediction systems, to automate processes and generate actionable insights.
• Demonstrate strong skills in data science languages (R, Python, SQL) and data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau).
• Drive the design, development, and evaluation of leading-edge algorithmic intelligence concepts.
• Propose and implement advanced statistical and mathematical techniques, conducting continuous independent research to prototype and evaluate technologies that enhance all-source intelligence analysis.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for data science expertise, ensuring tradecraft compliance and analytical standards.
• Evaluate AI/ML methods for risks, biases, and limitations, providing consultation on OBI governance, knowledge modeling, and best practices for system development, testing, and deployment.
• Lead the design and execution of Test, Evaluation, Verification, and Validation (TEVV) protocols, including auditing, performance metric development, and corrective action implementation, to ensure system effectiveness, robustness, and fairness.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including computer scientists and vendors, to deconstruct ambiguous information and complex problems.
• Develop data schemas, leverage spatial data, and exploit APIs to support all-source intelligence analysis.
• Contribute to and manage code in Government-owned/controlled source version control repositories.

Qualifications:
Required:
• 0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with a current Poly
• Skilled in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI-) and Tableau; major data science languages, such as R and Python; managing and merging of disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL; statistical analysis; and data mining algorithms.
• Prior experience with large data multi¬ INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in using data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, and scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed analytic decisions
• Experience writing either R or Python scripts to drive data science workflows, have experience using SQL, and managing and merging of disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL; statistical analysis; and data mining algorithms.
• Experience with large data, spatial data, Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.
