Role description
Job Title: Data Architect Job Description We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to design and implement data structures from ingestion to visualization utilizing advanced tools such as dbt and Tableau. The successful candidate will work on creating a maintainable, reliable, and efficient data platform while ensuring data warehouse modeling and development best practices are adhered to. Responsibilities β€’ Architect and code data structures from ingestion to visualization using dbt and Tableau. β€’ Implement best practices to ensure the maintainability, reliability, and efficiency of the data platform. β€’ Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development. β€’ Exercise optimal data modeling practices for nonuniform data sets. β€’ Establish best practices for source code control using Github. β€’ Design and maintain data security access. β€’ Optimize the stack using HTML and Javascript code to generate views for visualization. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to stakeholders. β€’ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data developers. Essential Skills β€’ BS in Computer Science, with emphasis in Data Engineering preferred. β€’ 10-12 years of experience in Data Engineering Development and visualization. β€’ 8-10 years of Data Warehouse experience, with specific experience in DWH preferred. β€’ 8-10 years of SQL experience. β€’ 4-6 years of experience with dbt Cloud; semantic layer experience is a plus. β€’ 3-5 years of experience with Github and CI/CD tools for modern data stacks. β€’ 3-5 years of experience building Tableau Data Sources and dashboards. β€’ 2+ years of Python development. β€’ Experience with HTML and Javascript related to Looker is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications β€’ Experience with Enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, and Jira. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills. β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. β€’ Comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives.
