Role description
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect on a contract basis (INSIDE IR35) to help define, shape, and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture across our client’s data landscape. The role focuses on designing scalable, secure, and well-structured data solutions across cloud and on-premises platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organisational standards. You will work closely with Data Modelers, Engineers, Analysts, and Governance teams to translate business needs into robust conceptual, logical, and physical data architectures. The ideal candidate has deep experience in data modelling, strong architectural judgement, and the ability to drive consistency and quality across the data ecosystem. This role requires a collaborative, detail-oriented architect with a passion for delivering high-quality, future-ready data solutions.
Skills :-
Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps
Translate business/technical requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Lead and mentor Data Modelers to produce high-quality, standards-aligned data models
Design scalable and resilient OLTP and OLAP data solutions across cloud and on-prem environments
Ensure alignment across data models, integration patterns, and metadata standards
Collaborate with Data Governance teams to support compliance, lineage, and metadata management
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance data capabilities
Provide guidance on CI/CD, version control, and deployment processes for data assets
Ensure architecture decisions support data quality, accessibility, and security
Partner with Engineers, Analysts, and stakeholders in delivering data products
Apply strong cloud knowledge (AWS preferred) across data platform designs
Promote best practices and identify opportunities to improve architectural consistency and data excellence
