Data Migration Strategy & Execution
Define and lead the end-to-end data migration strategy from legacy systems (e.g., AX 2009) to Dynamics 365 CE & F&O.
Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Informatica.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and completeness across all migrated datasets.
Data Modeling & Architecture
Design and implement enterprise data models aligned with the Databricks Medallion architecture:
Bronze Layer: Raw ingestion from APIs, flat files, and FTP/SFTP sources
Silver Layer: Cleaned and structured data
Gold Layer: Curated, business-ready data for consumption and reporting
Define data lineage, metadata, and governance standards using Unity Catalog and Azure Purview.
Integration & Real-Time Enablement
Support real-time and batch data ingestion from diverse sources including:
Shelter LOB systems, PetProPortal, SFCC, Vetco, Dropbox, and FTP endpoints
Azure Event Hub, Logic Apps, and Function Apps
Enable data synchronization with Dynamics 365 and downstream systems via APIs and Dataverse.
Collaboration & Governance
Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and business analysts to align data models with business needs.
Establish data validation, reconciliation, and exception handling frameworks.
Participate in data governance forums and ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience in data architecture, data migration, and enterprise data modeling.
Strong expertise in:
Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake
Informatica ETL, Event Hub, Logic Apps
Data modeling tools and techniques (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling)
Experience with Dynamics 365 CE & F&O data structures and legacy system migrations (e.g., AX 2009).
Familiarity with Medallion architecture and modern data lakehouse patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent
Experience with Unity Catalog, Azure Purview, and data governance frameworks
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Azure DevOps
Expected Outcomes:
Successful migration of legacy data into Dynamics 365 CE & F&O
Scalable and governed data foundation using Databricks Medallion architecture
High-quality, business-aligned data models supporting analytics and operations
Real-time and batch data flows integrated across enterprise systems
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $53.16/hour - $83.07/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
