Job Summary: Genesis10 is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to support a major financial client in delivering high-impact, data-heavy enterprise solutions. You’ll consult on large-scale software engineering initiatives, build scalable data architectures from the ground up, and collaborate across Infosec, Infrastructure, and Ops teams to drive integration best practices. This role demands hands-on development skills as well as strategic leadership. Responsibilities: • Architect and implement innovative, scalable, on-demand enterprise data solutions • Lead data sourcing and integration for Greenfield projects • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infosec, Infrastructure, Operations) to define system/data integration standards • Identify, manage, and remediate IT risks and technical debt • Design and deliver self-service platforms leveraging on-prem and cloud technologies • Lead design and implementation while remaining hands-on in backend, ETL, and API integrations • Work with diverse data platforms, reporting tools, virtualization tools, and cloud ecosystems • Support Agile delivery practices and contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps frameworks Must-Have Qualifications: ✅ 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Architect ✅ 7+ years delivering scalable self-serve solutions across cloud/on-prem platforms ✅ 5+ years: • Leading Greenfield implementations and data integrations from scratch • Partnering with Infosec/Infra/Ops teams • Managing IT risk and technical debt • ✅ Experience leading/mentoring engineering teams while staying technically hands-on Hands-On Skills Required:ETL & Data Engineering: • 7+ yrs: Batch/on-demand data pipelines & backend integrations • 5+ yrs: ETL tools (Alteryx, Talend, Xceptor, Apache Camel, Kafka Streams) • 4+ yrs: Data virtualization (Dremio, BigQuery Omni, Redhat Virtualization) Analytics & Reporting: • 5+ yrs: Power BI, SAS Viya, Tableau Cloud & Infrastructure: • 5+ yrs: Cloud data solutions (ODF, ODA, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks) • 3+ yrs: OpenShift (OCP), GCP, Azure • 3+ yrs: Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployments Development & API: • 3+ yrs: Java 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices • 7+ yrs: REST APIs, Kafka, JSON • 5+ yrs: Scripting (Python, Bash, Shell) Data Management: • 7+ yrs: Data modeling, governance, lineage, metadata, dictionary • Strong SQL (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Teradata, MongoDB) DevOps & Monitoring: • 3+ yrs: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GitHub, UCD, Harness • 3+ yrs: SonarQube, Checkmarx, GitLab, Black Duck • 3+ yrs: ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics Testing & Agile: • 3+ yrs: Jasmine, Junit, Selenium, JMeter, Postman • Agile: Scrum/Kanban using Jira & Confluence Nice to Have: • Experience with Apache Spark & Liquibase • Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards
