Job Summary: Flink Engineer • Design, develop, and deploy Apache Flink applications using the DataStreams API in production environments. • Build and optimize Flink streaming solutions, including managing state (checkpoints, savepoints), handling out-of-order events, and implementing aggregators. • Integrate Flink applications with data sources such as Kafka, Azure EventHub, and MongoDB. • Deploy, configure, and manage Flink clusters on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including session-based and application deployments. • Optimize Flink infrastructure parameters (memory, RocksDB, task/job manager). • Implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), state recovery, and auto-pilot features for Flink environments. • Integrate Flink deployments with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Dynatrace, Flink Dashboard, LTM). • Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices. • Ensure comprehensive documentation, monitoring, and production-grade delivery of Flink solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical solutions effectively. Required Experience • 7+ years in backend or distributed systems engineering. • 3+ years hands-on with Apache Flink (DataStreams API) in production. • 3–5 years working with streaming platforms (Kafka, Azure EventHub). • 2+ years deploying and managing applications in AKS or Kubernetes. • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, CI/CD, and observability tools.
