Role Overview
Seeking an experienced GCP Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, defining architecture standards, and ensuring data quality, security, and performance across analytics and AI workloads.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect end-to-end data solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Composer, and related GCP services.
• Design and optimize data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration frameworks.
• Establish architecture patterns, governance, security controls, and best practices for cloud data platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver scalable analytics and ML/AI solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning, cost optimization, and workload modernization.
• Evaluate new GCP features, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6+ years in data architecture or data engineering, with strong experience on GCP.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and data modeling (OLTP/OLAP).
• Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and cloud security.
• GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certification preferred.
