We are seeking an experienced Data Architect for a 12-month on-site contract opportunity in San Francisco with our direct client. This is a critical role that will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions in a cloud-native environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with a strong foundation in PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, and containerized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize database architecture with a focus on PostgreSQL performance and scalability.
Work with engineering teams to develop and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and services.
Architect and implement solutions using Azure Cloud Services.
Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and data strategy.
Requirements:
7–8 years of experience in data architecture and engineering roles.
Proven expertise with PostgreSQL in large-scale, high-performance environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, etc.).
Proficiency in Kubernetes and container-based architecture.
Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
