Role description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data / BI Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of data architecture and business intelligence solutions. This role will provide technical direction for a variety of data-centric and artificial intelligence projects, including data warehousing, data modeling, data integration, and advanced analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, ETL processes, BI tools, and modern AI/ML frameworks to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership for data architecture, business intelligence, and AI/ML initiatives across the organization. Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs. Build scalable and robust data architectures, including data warehouses and data lakes. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data integration solutions, and automated data workflows. Define and implement metadata management and data governance strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement AI and machine learning models to enhance business processes and drive innovation. Ensure performance optimization, data quality, and security of all data solutions. Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) projects for emerging tools and technologies related to data and analytics. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in data architecture, business intelligence, and data engineering. Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and data integration. Proficiency in tools and platforms such as: Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, Snowflake BI Tools: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports XI ETL Tools: Informatica, Trillium Data Modeling & Design: MS Visio, XML, ANSI SQL Programming & Analytics: Python, R, SQL, NoSQL databases Machine Learning: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn Big Data & Cloud Platforms: Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS (SageMaker, EC2, S3), Azure (ML Studio, Databricks) Development Environments: Jupyter Notebooks, Microsoft 365 Services Preferred Qualifications: Experience with metadata management and data governance frameworks. Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML solutions in cloud environments (AWS or Azure). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using tools like JIRA.
