Data Business Analyst
β’ Location: Farringdon, London
β’ Job Type: Contract, Hybrid working model
Join our client's Commercial team. This role is crucial for defining and delivering technology solutions within the International Parcels division of our client, a renowned company with a rich history and a broad reach across the UK.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
β’ Lead end-to-end requirements management within Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments, ensuring all artefacts pass formal stage-gates.
β’ Capture, structure, and document requirements for various projects including ML products, data pipelines, APIs, dashboards, decision engines, and operational reporting.
β’ Act as a key interface between technical teams and business units, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.
β’ Facilitate workshops to clarify needs, validate assumptions, and resolve conflicting priorities.
β’ Work closely with the Data team to translate modelling concepts into clear functional and non-functional business requirements.
β’ Define business rules, data definitions, KPIs, success metrics, and acceptance criteria for data products.
β’ Support the creation of user stories for Agile squads and detailed BRDs/FRDs for traditional projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and requirements management.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills including communication, influencing, collaboration, listening, and conflict management.
β’ Experience in vendor/supplier management within a multi-supplier environment.
β’ Familiarity with data science tooling and terminology (Python, SQL, etc.) is desirable.
β’ Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and MLOps and DevOps practices.
β’ Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst in large complex organisations, preferably within a consultancy.
