Role description
Our client, a rapidly growing organization headquartered in downtown Chicago, is expanding their data and reporting capabilities as they continue to scale. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team during a period of strong growth and modernization of their data infrastructure.
They are looking for a Data Developer with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server development and SSRS reporting to support and enhance the organizationβs reporting environment. In this role, you will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights and drive business decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of reporting and data processes while contributing to improvements across the companyβs data warehouse and reporting architecture.
Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports and reporting applications to support business reporting needs.
β’ Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions within Microsoft SQL Server.
β’ Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to support data integration and reporting workflows.
β’ Work closely with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
β’ Support and enhance the organizationβs data warehouse and dimensional data models used for reporting and analytics.
β’ Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot SSRS reports and reporting environments.
β’ Perform data analysis to ensure data accuracy and reliability within reporting systems.
β’ Manage multiple reporting requests and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
β’ 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server development.
β’ Strong experience writing T-SQL, stored procedures, views, and complex queries.
β’ Hands-on experience developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
β’ Experience building and supporting SSIS packages and ETL processes.
β’ Experience working with data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.
β’ Familiarity with the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) is preferred.
β’ Exposure to Power BI or other visualization tools is a plus but not required.
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
