Role description
Job title: Data Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 12 Month contract to hire Pay Range: 48.50-57.00$ Hourly on W2 Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law Job Description: As a Data Engineer, your day begins by syncing with business stakeholders often on calls to understand their evolving data needs and operational challenges, particularly in the U.S. healthcare space. You’ll spend a significant portion of your time diving into large datasets, using SQL and ETL tools like SSIS and .NET to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. You’ll act as a hybrid engineer, not only coding but also interpreting data in a way that resonates with business leaders. You’ll regularly present your findings in a clear, visual format, helping teams understand whether current data setups align with business expectations. Collaboration is keyβ€”you’ll work closely a variety of teams, contributing to both individual and cross-functional project Required Skills & Experience β€’ Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence β€’ Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) β€’ Proficiency with .NET and SSIS packages Nice to Have Skills & Experience β€’ Understanding of provider contracts and healthcare operations is a plus β€’ Familiarity with Java, MongoDB, and MDF (non-SQL) databases is a plus β€’ Experience with AI/automation tools or a strong interest in learning and applying them
