Role description
Job Title: Associate Data Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (5-days on-site)
Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Weβre looking for a curious and driven Entry-Level Data Engineer to join our enterprise data and AI team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large-scale digital transformation within our fourtune 500 client. You'll get hands-on experience working across cloud, automation, and AI tools, starting with foundational training and gradually progressing into full development and architecture responsibilities. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a background in Computer Science or a related field who are passionate about data and eager to build a career in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment.
What weβre looking for:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
β’ 0β1 year of experience, including internships or academic projects in data, software, or analytics
β’ Basic understanding of SQL and cloud concepts (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
β’ Interest in AI, automation, and scalable data systems
β’ Strong willingness to learn, start from the ground up, and grow quickly
β’ Adaptability to work across a wide variety of tools and challenges
What youβll be doing:
β’ Begin by testing internal data systems to understand operational workflows
β’ Grow into development and requirements gathering as part of a structured learning path
β’ Support ongoing cloud migration efforts and transformation of enterprise billing systems
β’ Work with tools such as Snowflake, Azure, and Python
β’ Collaborate with teams optimizing data pipelines using AI and GitHub CoPilot
β’ Participate in initiatives to automate data workflows and modernize the application stack
β’ Contribute to the design of future-facing systems and help identify high-value automation opportunities
Nice to have (not required):
β’ Exposure to Snowflake, Python, or Azure environments
β’ Familiarity with enterprise-scale data systems or cloud migration projects
β’ Demonstrated personal or academic projects involving data processing or automation
