Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Beaverton, OR. Summary: As a Data Engineer, you will build and maintain systems that collect, manage, and transform data into usable information. They work with large amounts of data from various sources and ensure that data is accessible and flows smoothly to its destination. Key Tasks: β€’ Establishes database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy β€’ Documents and communicates database design β€’ Evaluates and installs database management systems β€’ Data Engineer will code complex programs and derives logical processes on technical platforms β€’ Builds windows, screens and reports β€’ Assists in the design of user interface and business application prototypes β€’ Participates in quality assurance and develops test application code in client server environment β€’ Provides expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database β€’ Adapts business requirements, developed by modeling/development staff and systems engineers, and develops the data, database specifications, and table and element attributes for an application; At more experienced levels, helps to develop an understanding of client's original data and storage mechanisms β€’ As a Data Engineer, you will determine the appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization β€’ Determines how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years of directly relevant experience; Experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert; Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 8 years; Masters + 9 years; Associates degree + 11 years; High School diploma/GED + 12 yrs β€’ Must have 4-6 years of experience with: Databricks; AWS; Apache Spark; Python; PySpark β€’ Must be onsite at Company WHQ in Beaverton for a Hybrid schedule, 4:1 β€’ Previous Company experience a plus The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
