Expected Duration: 12 Months Potential Extension/Conversion: (High potential for extension) Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) Pay Range: $50-$55/hr on w2 About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Data Engineer to join a cutting-edge data and analytics team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Azure ecosystems. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on working with large-scale datasets, building efficient data systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making across enterprise teams. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for batch and near real-time data ingestion • Work with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud services) and Azure (including Microsoft Fabric) • Perform data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning • Write efficient, complex queries using SQL and develop scripts in Python • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform • Ensure high-quality data through profiling, validation, and monitoring • Support data architecture, metadata management, and workload optimization • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams • Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis Required Skills • Strong experience with SQL (advanced queries, joins, unions, optimization) • Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Solid understanding of data modeling and data architecture • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines • Knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation frameworks • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Nice to Have • Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) • Exposure to Microsoft Azure / Microsoft Fabric • Familiarity with data quality tools and profiling tools (Rapid SQL, AQT, etc.) • Experience with real-time or streaming data pipelines Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR • Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance to support employees' health and well-being.
