Data Engineer – Apache ETL Tools (Beam, Airflow, Spark, NiFi) • • Hybrid | Westlake, TX Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer to work on a 12-month + contract position in Westlake, TX. This position is hybrid onsite two weeks a month, and candidates must be local to the metro Dallas-Fort-Worth, TX area. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $75-$85/hr w-2 Responsibilities: • Participate in the development of a custom ETL tool using open-source Apache-based technologies • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Hop, BEAM, Spark, and Airflow • Develop API integration solutions using Python and Java • Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure • Contribute to platform monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation using Terraform and Jenkins Requirements: • Extensive experience with Apache ETL frameworks and orchestration tools • Proficiency in Kubernetes deployment and cloud-native architectures (AWS or Azure) • Strong skills in Python and Java for building API and integration workflows • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CFT, ARM) • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team setting Preferred Skills: • Certifications in AWS or Azure • Experience with Snaplogic or Informatica • Background in data movement and replication platforms Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
