Role description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, building scalable data pipelines, and enabling cloud-based data solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern cloud technologies. • Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, warehouses, views, tasks, and performance tuning. • Integrate data from multiple systems via APIs, connectors, JDBC connections, or ETL/ELT tools. • Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability across pipeline workflows. • Collaborate in an Agile environment using Git-based source control and CI/CD practices. • Troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize performance. • Contribute to architectural discussions and implement best practices in data engineering. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills • 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering. • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation. • Expert-level SQL with experience working on large structured datasets. • 4+ years of experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, EC2, Redshift, etc.). • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SQL development, data modeling, tasks, streams, views, and warehouse optimization. • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline orchestration. • Experience building data integrations using APIs, connectors, or ETL tools. • Tools & Practices • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based development environments. Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Clear and effective communication skills. • Preferred Qualifications • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Step Functions, or dbt. • Knowledge of data governance, security, and cataloging frameworks. The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $47.34/hour - $73.96/hour. Our offered benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
