Data Engineer Contractor

Position Summary Contractor Location- Remote Work you'll do Work You’ll Do The services You will provide the Deloitte project team: As a Database Engineer Contractor, you will design, develop, and optimize database systems to support data storage, retrieval, and analysis. Design and construct large relational databases to meet project requirements. Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate new systems with existing data warehouse structures. Optimize database performance by refining system functionality and ensuring efficient data retrieval. Implement and enforce database security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality. Perform regular data validation and quality checks to ensure database accuracy and reliability. Qualifications • 2-5 years of Technical Experience • Azure Synapse & Azure Data Factory Expertise • Data Modeling • SAP BW Concepts: Data models (InfoCubes, DSOs, CompositeProviders), extraction mechanisms (Open Hub, ODP), BW Queries • SAP data familiarity – Supply chain, Ops, • Python / ML Experience (preferred) • ETL tool experience: SAP Data Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or 3rd-party connectors like Theobald Xtract or SDI. • SQL Understanding of Both Source and Target Platforms • SAP BW Concepts: Data models (InfoCubes, DSOs, CompositeProviders), extraction mechanisms (Open Hub, ODP), BW Queries. • Azure Synapse Analytics: Synapse workspace, dedicated SQL pools vs. serverless SQL, integration pipelines, Synapse Studio usage. The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $50-$60 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
