Data Engineer (ETL/SQL/Pyspark)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer (ETL/SQL/Pyspark) with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 24+ month contract position. Responsibilities: • Support the development of ETL pipelines using the PySpark framework • Perform deep SQL development and optimization to support data transformation and ingestion activities • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather and clarify business and technical requirements • Review, analyze, and troubleshoot moderately complex data engineering challenges • Participate in the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines • Ensure solutions meet compliance, data governance, and security requirements • Document processes, data flows, and solutions clearly for cross-functional teams • Contribute to large-scale planning efforts and initiatives related to Software Engineering deliverables Required Qualifications: • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent (work, consulting experience, training, military, or education) • Strong experience developing ETL pipelines using PySpark • Deep expertise in SQL (development, optimization, and troubleshooting) • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in data engineering projects • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and associated tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) Pay Range: $44-54 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
