We are seeking a highly skilled and emotionally intelligent Lead Data Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and governance frameworks across our enterprise data ecosystem. This role will lead initiatives in data quality, privacy compliance, and metadata management, ensuring our data assets are trusted, secure, and analytics-ready.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Architect and implement end-to-end ETL workflows using tools like Snowflake, DBT, Informatica, and DataStage.
β’ Lead modernization of legacy pipelines and cloud migration efforts, optimizing for performance and cost.
β’ Embed privacy-by-design principles into data engineering workflows, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and internal data policies.
β’ Implement and manage data governance platforms such as Collibra, OneTrust, Ataccama, and IBM Information Governance Catalog.
β’ Develop and enforce data quality rules, lineage tracking, and metadata standards across structured and unstructured data sources.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, security, data science, and engineering teams to align on data strategy and compliance.
β’ Mentor junior engineers and lead training sessions on data governance best practices.
Qualifications
β’ 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data governance, or related fields.
β’ Proven expertise in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, Python.
β’ Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and regulatory reporting.
β’ Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms.
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science or related field.
