Key Responsibilities β€’ Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using PySpark, ADF, and Azure data lake technologies. β€’ Design ETL/ELT workflows, data models, and telemetry specifications to support core game features. β€’ Partner with producers, designers, engineers, and analytics leadership to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions. β€’ Develop and optimize semantic models and support light data visualization through tools such as Power BI. β€’ Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support gameplay, user engagement, monetization, and feature performance. β€’ Troubleshoot and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and system reliability. Required Qualifications β€’ 5–7+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer. β€’ Strong experience with: β€’ PySpark (5+ years) β€’ Azure Data Factory β€’ Azure Synapse β€’ Azure Storage / ADLS β€’ SQL and data modeling β€’ Data lake architectures (e.g., Medallion) β€’ Experience transforming raw telemetry into structured analytics models. β€’ Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and explain technical concepts clearly. β€’ Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Preferred Background β€’ Experience in gaming, casual games, or player telemetry analytics. β€’ Experience supporting ad-based revenue models or live-service game data. β€’ Prior work with high-volume, real-time telemetry systems. Why This Role Is Unique β€’ Work on a brand-new AI-driven gaming project with high visibility. β€’ Build the analytics foundation from scratch β€” not maintaining outdated pipelines. β€’ Exposure to massive datasets and modern Azure technologies. β€’ Collaborate with a talented team shaping the future of casual gaming experiences.
