Role description
Tatum Financial Projects Group is partnering with a prominent financial institution to fill a long-term contract role for an experienced Data Management Analyst. This is a 2-year engagement supporting enterprise-level data management initiatives within the financial services industry. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite at the client's Charlotte, NC location.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead and consult on complex, large-scale data management initiatives with significant impact across multiple business units.
β’ Review, analyze, and resolve multifaceted data challenges that require evaluation of various technical and business factors.
β’ Provide guidance and insights on data governance, data quality, and risk-related initiatives.
β’ Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large data sets.
β’ Partner closely with the technology team; therefore, must have the ability to read and understand code written in C#, Java, and Python.
β’ Partner with cross-functional teams including risk, analytics, technology, and operations to implement data solutions.
β’ Support compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Management, or Data Analytics.
β’ Advanced SQL query writing experience.
β’ Ability to read and interpret various technical languages and code (C#, Java, and Python).
β’ Proven ability to work in a complex, fast-paced financial services environment.
β’ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to evaluate multiple variables.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with market, counterparty, or financial risk data.
β’ Understanding of financial products, including SWAPS and brokerage instruments.
