Data Engineer
12 Month Contract to Hire
Remote: EST Hours
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in SQL Server, Snowflake, and Qlik to join our growing data team in the healthcare industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and models that support advanced analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines between SQL Server, Snowflake, and downstream reporting tools like Qlik.
β’ Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
β’ Create and maintain data models and data marts in Snowflake to support reporting and analytics.
β’ Optimize performance and data integrity within SQL Server and Snowflake environments.
β’ Support and enhance Qlik dashboards and visualizations with clean and well-modeled data sources.
β’ Ensure data governance, security, and compliance policies are followed.
β’ Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs and systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related role.
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience working with SQL Server (stored procedures, performance tuning, SSIS/SSRS is a plus).
β’ Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, virtual warehouses, and query optimization.
β’ Experience working with QlikView or Qlik Sense for data integration and dashboard development.
β’ Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ELT strategies.
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
