Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with a team of data and software engineers to deliver big data streaming platforms and data management capabilities.
β’ Develop cutting-edge software solutions by writing maintainable, extensible, and tested code while adhering to coding standards.
β’ Lead by example in following best practices in development, microservices design, and CI/CD methodologies.
β’ Facilitate end-to-end user testing with customers.
β’ Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
β’ Bridge gaps between internal teams and third-party suppliers.
β’ Work closely with product owners to shape and deliver features to customers.
β’ Embrace emerging technology opportunities and contribute to best practices in architecture, security, and design.
β’ Write full-stack software and tooling to ensure code is well-tested and performant.
β’ Develop tools and libraries that enable rapid and scalable development.
β’ Contribute to all aspects of the software development life cycle across interconnected software products.
β’ Investigate and resolve customer issues with data retrieval via data products, including debugging APIs, cloud services, and data lake technologies.
Essential Skills
β’ 3+ years of data engineering experience.
β’ Proficiency in writing clean, concise, tested, maintainable code in Python.
β’ Experience building and deploying applications in AWS.
β’ API development experience.
β’ Experience with Spark and SQL.
β’ Experience with Databricks or EMR.
β’ Experience with CI/CD and updating build pipelines and tasks.
β’ Hands-on production experience with Big Data platforms and optimizing data pipelines.
β’ Experience in test automation frameworks.
β’ Advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
β’ Organizational and detail-oriented skills.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
