Data Engineer II

Location: Remote EST/CST Employees: 1,000 | Team Size: 5-8 Industry: FinTech | Payments Domain Reports To: Director of Data Seeking a highly self-directed engineer, comfortable-owning end-to-end, and able to manage multiple initiatives while balancing priorities. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative product and engineering team, partnering with engineers, analysts, product leaders, and solution architects to deliver impactful data-driven solutions. Most Important Responsibilities • Design, build, and support scalable data platforms, cloud-based workflows, and automated data pipelines. • Transform and model data from varied systems to enable reporting, advanced analytics, and strategic insights. • Identify and resolve issues across data quality, performance, and system reliability through architectural and process improvements. • Monitor and remediate pipeline failures, data inconsistencies, and platform incidents, including participation in support rotations. • Develop prototypes and automation to accelerate analysis and improve operational efficiency. What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization: • Bachelor’s in computer science or comparable field, or equivalent professional experience. • 2-4 years of experience with SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.). • 2-4 years of experience with Java or Groovy languages. • 2+ years of experience with Orchestration and Ingestion tools (Airflow, AirByte, etc.). • 2+ years of experience interacting with web service APIs (SOAP, REST). • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses and modern ELT/ETL tooling. • Experience working in iterative, agile development environments. • Working knowledge of source control systems and CI/CD concepts. • Experience designing and implementing automated testing (unit and integration) Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, PTO, Sick Time, HAS, 401K Compensation: $75 – 85K + 4% bonus
