Role description
Are you an experienced Data Engineer who has a passion for animal welfare?
Data is core to our transformation and future. Weโre looking for a Data Engineer to work with our teams to maximise the potential of our data, to help as many dogs as possible.
What does this role do?
As Data Engineer, youโll:
โข design and build a variety of APIโs and data pipelines that allow data to be used and stored effectively,
โข bring data to life, working with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver BI products that transform data into effective tools for reporting, analytics and decision making,
โข collaborate with external providers to build solutions to bring data in and out of the organisation,
โข maintain the full data and analytics technology stack, continuously improving tools.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, youโll need to be passionate about data and the ways in which this information can be used to add value to Dogs Trust and our mission. Youโll need extensive data engineering skills and hands-on experience, working with Informatica IICS (CDI and CAI) and Snowflake data platform. Youโll also need some experience with SQL, Python and R, as well as the ability to build reports and dashboards, complimented by strong organisational skills to manage the competing demands of the role.
What does this team do?
Youโll be part of a skilled and supportive IT team that values curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. We work across a variety of exciting initiatives; from developing digital platforms that help dog owners to enhancing volunteer and data systems that expand our impact. Our culture is friendly, flexible, and purpose-driven, with most of your time spent working from home and regular, focused collaboration days in our London office. Itโs an environment where people share ideas, learn from each other, and take pride in building technology that truly makes a difference.
Weโre recruiting for permanent and fixed term contract (until June 2027) positions.
The closing date for applications is 12st January 2026 and initial screening interviews are scheduled to take place on 28th and 29th January 2026.
Please note we are not looking for agency support for this vacancy.
