Data Engineer

Description This role will support the data aspects of new and ongoing business processes within client's team, focusing on data quality, pipeline reliability, and observability. Duties May Include • Design, implement, and maintain automated data quality checks at multiple points in the pipeline (e.g., dbt tests, SQL optimization, observability tools). • Triage and investigate data pipeline incidents, identify root causes, and collaborate with upstream data providers to resolve quality issues. • Enhance pipeline resilience by adding validation, alerting, and recovery processes. • Partner with Data Steward and Product Manager to ensure data governance policies are supported by technical quality controls. • Document monitoring processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders. Skills snowflake, Sql, monte carlo simulation software, soda, data management software, observability, Python, LLM Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience. • Strong written and verbal communication, able to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cupertino, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
