AI Engineer / Data Engineer – Spatial AI Team: Geospatial Platforms & Spatial AI Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid - 3 days/wk onsite) Pay: $70 - $75/hr Employment Type: Ongoing Contract (potential for conversion in future) Start: Q2 (funding pending) Why This Role Is Exciting Brooksource is currently seeking a Data/AI Engineer for one of our enterprise clients in the telecommunications space. This team is launching a brand‑new Spatial AI practice, and this position will be one of the first engineers on the ground. You’ll help build real, production‑grade AI agents used by internal service teams — not experiments, not slide decks. This role sits at the intersection of AI, data engineering, and geospatial intelligence, and plays a key role in expanding the client's internal GenAI platform. What You’ll Do • Build and deploy AI-powered agents using Python and LLM orchestration frameworks • Work inside the client's in-house GenAI/GPT ecosystem, extending AI capabilities for geospatial use cases • Develop APIs and backend services that integrate: LLMs; Internal enterprise data; Business logic workflows • Help productionalize AI tools with: Logging and monitoring; Guardrails and reliability standards • Support spatial logic (distance, proximity, filtering) where applicable • Collaborate closely with: Geospatial engineers; Data science partners; Platform and solutioning teams What Success Looks Like • You’ve helped ship a working AI agent used by real teams • The solution is reliable, observable, and scalable • You’re comfortable operating in an evolving, greenfield environment • You communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical partners What We’re Looking For Required • Strong Python development experience • Experience building production-grade backend services (APIs, agents, pipelines) • Exposure to LLM tooling or orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph or similar) • Familiarity integrating cloud-based data systems (AWS preferred) • Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements Nice to Have • Geospatial or GIS experience • Data science or ML modeling exposure • Cloud experience beyond AWS (GCP) Disclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
