Overview
This role involves designing, developing, and executing data migration processes for federal acquisition data, including contract and procurement information, with a focus on compliance, data quality, and security standards. The position requires working closely with federal acquisition subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure high-integrity, auditable, and secure data migrations within a remote work environment.
Education & Certification Requirements
A bachelorβs degree is preferred; however, extensive experience can substitute for formal education. Candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements
Public Trust clearance is required, with a preference for candidates already badged with CDC or HHS; the highest clearance applicable is TS.
Onsite Requirements
This role is a remote opportunity with flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities
β’ Design and build data migration solutions for federal acquisition data, including complex data structures.
β’ Develop, test, and deploy robust ETL processes for structured and unstructured acquisition data using federal-compliant tools.
β’ Analyze and document source-to-target data mapping, ensuring proper normalization and transformation.
β’ Ensure all migration activities adhere to federal data privacy and security standards, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53.
β’ Identify and resolve data quality issues; perform data cleansing and support acceptance testing with business users.
β’ Collaborate with federal SMEs, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and document solutions clearly.
β’ Monitor data migration jobs, optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning strategies.
Qualifications
β’ 8+ years of experience in data migration design and execution.
β’ Strong proficiency in API design (Intermediate).
β’ Advanced skills in data migration, data modeling, ETL architecture and development, and SQL.
β’ Ability to analyze and document complex data source-to-target mappings.
β’ Knowledge of federal compliance standards such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53.
β’ Experience with data quality assurance, data cleansing, and troubleshooting data issues.
β’ Excellent collaboration and documentation skills.
Desired Skills
β’ Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
β’ Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
β’ Experience with Oracle Database (Advanced).
β’ Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
