Job Title: Data Engineer 1 Job Location: Mossville, IL AC Building Job Duration: 24 months with possible ext Job Description: Summary: The main function of a data engineer is to ensure that the data assets of an organization are supported by an architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goal. A typical data engineer is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to get to the data. Job Responsibilities: β€’ Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. β€’ Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. β€’ Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Skills: β€’ Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. β€’ Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. β€’ Basic knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling. β€’ Basic knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc. Education/Experience: β€’ Associate's degree in computer programming or a relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. β€’ 0-2 years experience required. Position’s Contributions to Work Group: β€’ Create statistical component demand models β€’ Complete analysis of facility manufacturing capabilities β€’ Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and process partners β€’ Investigate and provide insights into capacity solutions β€’ Perform maintenance of existing statistical models β€’ Lead moderately complex process improvement projects. Typical task breakdown: Mantaining schedules on sharepoint sites Input data into ECR-S Tools Maintain and coordinate ECR-S Results Execute ECR-S and SCOPE Process Interaction with team: There are 4 people collaborating with this position.
