Job Title: Data Engineer (Need Locals) Location: Hartford, CT Duties: Designs, constructs, maintains and troubleshoots an organization's data architecture. Evaluates data needs, researches and selects the appropriate new technology. Develops effective storage solutions that can handle large amounts of data in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures that all data is stored securely. Ensures the data is properly understood, stored, and analyzed appropriately, including data fed into the system from external sources. Works with internal teams to understand analysis needs, then extract data from various sources and turn it into useful insights for the organization via reports and dashboards. Performs periodic data cleansing, enrichment and archiving and establish an ongoing process and schedule to do so. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Information Technology software development. Experience developing a data strategy and migration plan. Experience with coding languages such as, Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, and Java. Experience in automation and scripting. Experience in data transformation tools.
