Role description
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Data Engineer 1. The work will be done onsite full-time in Peoria, IL. This is a long-term 12-month contract position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $50/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay). Job Summary We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and delivery of business intelligence solutions focused on supply chain and capacity planning. This role involves translating complex datasets into actionable insights through advanced analytics, data modeling, and visualization to drive informed business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build data pipelines, troubleshoot data issues, and develop Power BI dashboards that support long-term forecasting and operational efficiency . Key Responsibiliti β€’ esSupport the development, testing, and delivery of business intelligence solutions, tools, and services for supply chain and capacity plannin β€’ g.Gather and document business requirements, create functional requirement documents, and perform validation testin β€’ g.Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solution β€’ s.Troubleshoot complex system and data issues, identify root causes, and implement high-quality solution β€’ s.Serve as a subject matter expert for key data processes, responding to stakeholder inquiries and supporting daily production and reporting need β€’ s.Lead or contribute to medium- and large-scale data projects in collaboration with business and IT team s. Required Qualificati β€’ onsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred); Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience also consider β€’ ed.2+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics rol β€’ es.Strong expertise in Python and SQL (advanced querying and data manipulatio β€’ n).Hands-on experience with Power BI (or Tableau) for data visualization and storytelli β€’ ng.Solid background in data engineering fundamentals including ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data modeling, and data quality manageme β€’ nt.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data warehous β€’ es.Knowledge of machine learning, statistical analysis, and supply chain conce pts Preferred Qualificat β€’ ionsExperience with supply chain, capacity planning, or inventory managem β€’ ent.Familiarity with advanced analytics, NLP, or feature engineer β€’ ing.Strong business acumen and stakeholder communication ski lls.
