The Role and Deliverables
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines that ingest data from streaming platforms, social media networks, and ticketing systems
• Integrate data across label, management, and external tracking sources to create a unified view of artist and catalogue performance
• Develop and optimise data models, including those supporting producer division metrics such as royalties, financial forecasts, and cost tracking
• Enhance and manage the central data warehouse to ensure efficient schema design and accessibility across teams
• Deliver the backend infrastructure for real-time dashboards, enabling seamless data flow for end users
• Implement and uphold data governance, privacy, and compliance standards, including secure handling of personally identifiable information
Your Skills & Experience
• Strong experience working within the music industry, with a practical understanding of its data landscape and challenges
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data engineering and strong SQL skills for data modelling and analysis
• Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines using tools such as Airflow or dbt within cloud-based environments
• Expertise in developing clear, user-friendly dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio
• Deep understanding of music metadata, streaming analytics, and multi-platform reporting
• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practice in secure data management
