Role description
We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong business intelligence focus to help design and build a centralized reporting and visualization platform. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights through scalable data pipelines and intuitive dashboards. This is a Contract role, based in Houston, Texas and is in the office 3 days/week.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build a centralized reporting solution using Tableau, driven by optimized SQL queries
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and models within an AWS data warehouse environment
• Partner with business users to translate requirements into impactful dashboards and visualizations
• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability across reporting and BI solutions
Experience / Skills:
• Advanced Tableau expertise, including building complex dashboards and visualization tools
• Strong SQL skills with experience transforming data into reporting-ready datasets
• Hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders to deliver business-focused BI solutions
