Data Engineer - Only W2 (Contract to Hire)

This position Contract to hire 6 months, then full-time Data & Integration Specialist (i.e. Data Engineer) Role Summary: • Strong adaptability and multitasking skills to manage priorities and project demands effectively. • Prior experience in a smaller development team. • "DevOps" mindset and experience. • Solid analytical and communication skills with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. Skills: • GitHub or equivalent version control environment. • Technical and functional requirements gathering experience. • Basic knowledge of a scripting or programming language (such as JavaScript). • Microsoft SSIS or equivalent data integration/ETL tools (2+ years). • Microsoft SSRS or equivalent reporting tools (2+ years). • Power Automate or equivalent process automation tools (2+ years). Preferred (1 or more of): • PowerBI or equivalent analysis and visualization tools (2+ years). • Microsoft Fabric experience. • T-SQL/SQL Server (3+ years), at least 1 year using Azure SQL Server products. Requirements: • Collaborate and participate in the full life cycle of projects and support. • Ensure security, quality, stability, availability, and compliance. • Research, recommend, and implement new tools and techniques to use technology to accomplish our business goals. • Democratize access to data and content, including creating and maintaining warehouses, visualization, and reporting using the Microsoft suite of products. • Design, develop, and maintain internal and 3rd party data integration processes using Microsoft Azure/Fabric-based tools. • Improve business processes through automation of data flows. • Build and support data integration, reporting, and analysis company-wide.
