Location: Fort Worth/Dallas, TX (Hybrid 1 week onsite / 1 week remote) Contract Duration: 12+ months Experience Level: Mid-Senior (5 10+ years preferred, flexible)
Pay: $40 to $75/hr on W2 Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python skills to support the migration from Oracle-based reporting systems (OBIEE) to Snowflake and Power BI. This role is focused on implementing scalable pipelines and data solutions aligned with modern analytics architectures. Responsibilities:
Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python to migrate and prepare data for reporting in Snowflake.
Partner with BI Engineers and Data Modelers to optimize performance and support Power BI integrations.
Work with legacy data from Oracle systems, including structured financial datasets (e.g., 401k plan data).
Conduct data validation, transformation, and automation of pipeline workflows.
Apply Agile methodologies to manage development cycles, version control, and deployment.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong SQL development skills and Python scripting experience.
Hands-on Snowflake development and data integration expertise.
Background working with financial datasets a plus (e.g., 401k or retirement plan data).
Agile certification or strong Agile environment experience preferred.
Comfortable working onsite in Fort Worth/Dallas every other week.
