Role description
Role Overview We’re hiring Data Engineers for a Fortune 100 retail client’s Enterprise Data Warehouse Team. This team supports all 12 business units by delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions. You’ll work on legacy redesigns and new projects using cutting-edge technology, including Google Cloud (BigQuery, GCS). Core Responsibilities β€’ Build and optimize data pipelines and solutions for multiple business units. β€’ Collaborate with project managers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions. β€’ Ensure data processes are robust and scalable for long-term performance. β€’ Work independently and drive projects forward. Required Skills β€’ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). β€’ Ability to explain the impact and outcomes of your work. β€’ Technical expertise in:SQL (expert level) β€’ ETL/BI development β€’ Jenkins (2+ years preferred) β€’ Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, GCS β€’ Python β€’ Dataform and/or DBT β€’ Strong systemic thinking (understand trade-offs in design decisions). Ideal Candidate β€’ Growth mindset: Reflects on past work and seeks improvement. β€’ Understands why behind coding decisions, not just how. β€’ Can design solutions that remain effective over time.
