Role description
Data Engineer – Reporting Operations (SE3) Locations: Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; CIC/Brevard; Des Moines, IA; San Antonio, TX (Chandler, AZ considered only for exceptional candidates) Role Overview This role focuses on day‑to‑day reporting operations. It supports report creation, modification, migration, and decommissioning activities. The position is more hands‑on and execution‑focused, with less strategic responsibility than the senior role. Key Responsibilities • Create, modify, and maintain Power BI reports based on user requests • Support migration of existing Tableau reports to Power BI • Decommission unused or underused reports • Handle incoming work through Jira and follow established intake and documentation processes • Support self‑service reporting models where applicable • Work closely with stakeholders to fulfill reporting requests accurately and on time Required Skills & Experience • Strong proficiency with Power BI (core requirement) • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, as data is increasingly sourced from it • Solid SQL and data querying skills • General familiarity with reporting best practices and operational support • Experience with Jira and Confluence preferred • Typically 3–5 years of experience, with emphasis on skill level over tenure
